Abstract: |
Three trenches were fully investigated within the area of development. Each trench contained archaeological features. In trench 1 this consisted of a ditch on a roughly northeast-southwest alignment and three small features of probable natural origin. Trench 2 contained another ditch on a northwest-southeast orientation, whilst the features in trench 3 consisted of a shallow linear cut filled with stone rubble containing fragments of medieval tile, overlain by the remains of a later dry stone wall on a slightly different alignment.
