Abstract: |
Fifteen trenches were mechanically excavated and revealed prehistoric, Romano-British and perhaps later remains. Only three firmly dated features were identified: a Middle Bronze Age inurned cremation; an early Late Bronze Age possible rubbish or funerary pit, and a possible Late Iron Age/early Romano-British field boundary ditch. A further eight trenches, one pit and four possible post-holes were also identified, the majority of which dated to the Romano-British period or earlier. [Au(abr)] |
