Abstract: |
Observation of foundation trenches within the area of the medieval village revealed no evidence for earlier buildings along the street frontage. Some 19th and 20th century finds were found on the spoil heaps and around the watercourses which formed the south and east boundaries of the site. Layers of soil observed within the foundation trenches may have been riverine deposits associated with these watercourses. [Au] |
