Abstract:		 The evaluation revealed sporadic evidence for archaeological deposits over the area and included: a number of ditches, possibly field boundaries, containing finds of prehistoric worked flint, and , in one instance a truncated pit containing Late Bronze Age/Early Iron Age pottery; three features containing Romano-British finds; hillwash of probable medieval date and one field boundary containing post-medieval pottery. The distribution of the subsoil deposits and finds suggested the intermittent use of the site from an early date. [Au(abr)]
