Notes three sites: Linacres Farm (North Claines), characterised by Roman deposits including pits and an eroded trackway (aerial and topographic survey indicate a rural settlement site), along with smithing evidence, ceramic assemblage and medieval ridge and furrow; Stone Farm (Ombersley) comprised a circular pit, possible oven and industrial activity, all thought to be early medieval; finally, Barnhall Farm (Ombersley) including a possible Roman field boundary. Separately authored reports include: `Roman imported wares: samian (fabric 43)' by Brenda Dickinson & Derek Hurst (18--19), and `The ironworking debris from Linacres Farm' by Thomas Finney (21--2).

Reports discovery of RB pottery and other artefacts indicative of a late second to third century occupation beneath Wychbury IA hillfort to the south of Round Hill near Hagley. Combined with antiquarian reports of a coin hoard and pottery in the vicinity suggest a Romano-British farmstead enclosure. Other finds were recovered during topsoil stripping along the pipeline and include three flint flakes and a small quantity of post-medieval pottery.

Summarizes the results of observations and excavations along 1.3km of pipeline construction. Two RB sites were discovered, one represented by a single ditch, the other (at Bredon Fields) represented by a complex of rectilinear enclosure boundaries indicating the presence of a rural settlement occupied during the second--fourth centuries AD. There is `A note on the pottery from Bredon Fields' by Annette Hancocks (74--5) and a `Note on a dish of Purbeck marble' by Fiona Roe (75--6).

Reproduces tracings made in 1839 of an important series of fourteenth-century wall paintings representing three miracles of St Nicholas.
