Environment and living conditions at two Anglo-Scandinavian sites

This report describes the results of investigations of plant and animal remains from 83 samples, excluding replicates, from excavations at 6-8 Pavement (on part of the present site of Lloyds Bank) and from a watching brief at 5-7 Coppergate. Studies have been made of plant macrofossils, insects (principally beetles, Coleoptera, and bugs, Hemiptera) and other invertebrate remains from all of the samples, and of pollen and the soil matrix from certain samples from the Lloyds Bank site.
