Abstract:
Fieldwalking over three fields in advance of pipeline construction recovered nearly 200 flint artefacts indicative of human activity on the site some six thousand years ago. It is recommended that the pipeline should be laid in a tunnel at appropriate depth to avoid the archaeologically sensitive deposits -- if the pipeline is to be laid in an open cut, further archaeological work will be required.
