Abstract: |
Reports on the first phase of the assessment, which comprised a pollen analysis of three cores from the peat bog. Results suggest that the peat formation pre-dates the coming of prehistoric agriculture, and thus the palisaded enclosure (see also 94/1386). The archaeological implications of further quarrying on the hill are discussed. |
