Report on excavations at the medieval priory (near St Aidans Chapel) and post medieval village, situated on an island in the Firth of Forth. An introduction gives a summary history of the site, from the ninth century AD to the eighteenth. Included is a `Pottery report' by Bob Will</ze> (24--5 & 38--41), a study of `Fish bone' by James H Barrett</ze> \\bold{} (25--30), and an `Assessment of [soil] samples from the Isle of May 1992' by Sheila Boardman</ze> & Hazel Moore</ze> (32--6).
