Abstract: |
Provides reports on ten hoards found between 1974 and 1978, together with a new discussion of the 1810 Whorlton (Yorks N) hoard. The Cirencester, Londonthorpe (Lincs) and Waddington II (Lincs) finds consist of 1st and 2nd century denarii; the Waddington I, Hamble (Hampshire) and Chorleywood (Herts) finds of folles (first half of 4th century); and the two Kempston (Beds) finds, the Otterbourne (Hampshire) and Whorlton hoards are of silver coins and objects buried mostly during second half of 4th century.
