Abstract: |
Six adult skeletons, dating to the 17th century AD were examined. They may represent burials of prisoners, incarcerated in the Castle when it was used as a gaol. The group showed a remarkable degree of pathology, most notably all three skulls available for analysis showed healed injuries. |
