Abstract:		 SP 089250. Reports the excavation of a cluster of twenty rock-cut pits, including a stone-lined one about 2.6m across, and an associated collection of artefacts and animal remains. The pits, which are too shallow for grain storage, may be associated with an adjacent rectangular ditched enclosure found by magnetometer survey. Pottery is of the pre-Belgic type for the region. Butchery practices evident from the bones are noted.
