Abstract:		 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group on the site of 2 Old Palace Place, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames between 29th June and 2nd September 2004. The investigation involved the monitoring and recording of hand-excavated underpinning base pits and the associated working space as well as observing the removal of the basement floor and the reduction of �the void�.The watching brief exposed the geological sequence of the area and a brick floor associated with an earlier phase of the building itself. Otherwise no features or finds of archaeological significance were identified.
