Abstract: |
The archaeological watching brief comprised the recording of several machine cut test pits targeted to assess the degree of survival of the boundaries of the burial ground. The well-preserved northern brick wall was observed along with the inner western boundary on a stone foundation. No built structures were noted during test pitting to locate the outer western or southern boundaries. It is presumed that these were marked by hedges, trees or trackways. |
