Abstract:		 A small scale evaluation was carried out in the grounds of the garden associated with Pearmont House, Dumfries, prior to a residential development on the ground. Caution was taken as the site lies close to or within the site of a cursus monument (DG6082; NX 97NE85) noted in aerial photographs of the area. No sign of the cursus was found within the evaluation area and no finds of archaeological significance was found.
