Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by AOC Archaeology Group at Midmill, Kintore, Aberdeenshire, in advance of redevelopment of a greenfield area. The objective of the work was to evaluate the archaeological potential of the development area. The evaluation consisted of 21 trenches totalling 1820 m² and thereby comprising a 7% sample of the area. The development area contained Midmill Cairn in the south-eastern corner of the site, a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM No. 3958), however no features or artefacts of archaeological significance were revealed during the evaluation. |
