Abstract: |
In response to a planning condition placed on the construction of a replacement church hall to the south of St Mary''s Church, Linton, Cambs, by the local planning authority, South Cambridgeshire District Council, the Heritage Network was commissioned to undertake the archaeological evaluation of the site. Two trial trenches were excavated revealing a ditch and a possible pit which are believed to be Saxo-Norman in date. A redeposited human burial was also exposed but this was left unexcavated in situ. |
