The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A programme of archaeological investigative works was undertaken in respect to the proposed construction of residential dwellings on land at Southfield, Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway. The investigation of the site revealed no artefactual material and no site disturbance apart form the establishment of modern buildings and services. No evidence was recovered to link the site with the Dominican Friary. It did appear that the site had been gradually cleared and levelled for use as a showground for livestock.
