Abstract: |
The project involved intrusive field evaluation of: 1) the early 19th century Ha-ha, to inform its restoration, involving the excavation of four hand dug test pits; and 2) the area of earthworks to the east (rear) of the stable block, to clarify the character, date, extent, survival and significance of buried remains likely to be affected by proposals to construct new staff accommodation, associated access, services and landscaping in this area, involving the excavation of 6 machine dug trenches. |
