Abstract: |
In October 2005 Archaeological Services and Consultancy Ltd (ASC) carried out an evaluation to the rear of 21-33 Bradgate Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire in response to a planning application for the erection of 16 dwellings and associated garages. Eight trenches were excavated. Despite the archaeological evidence for nearby Romano-British settlements to the east and south-west of the site, the site itself yielded only modern features suggesting that it had been on the periphery of settlement activity until the area was developed in the later 20th century. |
