Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out on the area of a proposed residential development lying to the south of Lesmahagow, South Lanarkshire. Fifteen trial trenches totalling 2850 m2 were excavated over 5.7 ha of former woodland and agricultural land. The robbed-out trench for a small 19th century structure was encountered but neither significant archaeological features nor artefacts were identified by the evaluation. |
