Abstract:		 An archaeological evaluation was carried out at land to the north of Moray Street, Doune in advance of a proposed housing development. One of the aims of the evaluation was to try to determine if Doune Standing Stone had been relocated to its current position in the recent past. The evaluation did not identify any clear indication that the standing stone had been relocated and cartographic evidence suggests that it had been in its current location since at least 1862. There were no other features of archaeological significance identified.
