Abstract: |
The work required included a rapid desk-based assessment in advance of any further work. This was followed by a ''Level 2'' building survey of the farm buildings, which involved the production of a photographic and descriptive record of the buildings in addition to a plan to show the location of each photographed feature. The building survey was followed by field evaluation, which consisted of the excavation of a series of linear trial trenches to establish the presence or absence of archaeological remains. |
