Abstract: |
The archaeological investigation established a sequence through the fen and pre-fen landscape. A palaeosol (L1003) formed over the alluvial sediments (L1004). This buried soil horizon contained horizontally bedded leaves of Phragmites,Typha or Isis, suggestive of at least a periodically wet landscape. A single unstratified fragment of Bronze Age pottery was recovered. |
