Abstract:		 South West Archaeology undertook an evaluation excavation at the proposed site of Franklyn Wind Farm, Pilliven Farm prior to the application for planning permission for development of the site. These works represent the second phase of archaeological investigation at the site following an initial geophysical survey. Most of the evaluation trenches revealed no material of archaeological significance except ditches of unknown function and a feature corresponding with part of a circular geophysical anomaly all of which were recorded but produced no artefactual material.
