Abstract: |
Sutton Archaeological Services (SAS) carried out an archaeological evaluation at Kenley House, Kenley Lane, Kenley, Surrey, CR8 5ED. Research by Sutton Archaeological Services for the research design indicated that there was Medieval and Post-Medieval archaeology and/or activity in the surrounding area. 5 trenches were excavated across the site revealing turf and topsoil, concrete, paving slabs, made ground, sub-soil and the natural clay. No Medieval or Post-Medieval archaeology was found, but we did recover the remains of a 19th century building along with 19th to 20th century CBM, iron and glass.
