This is a desk-based assessment designed to summarise the historic environment of the seaside town of Seaton Carew. The purpose of the report is to inform a feasibility study for the regeneration of the town through heritage. The report summarises the archaeological resource for the area including prehistoric settlement, Roman stray finds, medieval settlement, 18th century spa-town, 19th century industrialisation and 20th century suburbanisation.
