Abstract:		 A number of potential features were exposed during the monitored strip and hand cleaning. Several of the features could confidently be attributed to modern disturbance of the subsoil. Shallow linear features, running north-south through the stripped area, may be provisionally interpreted as ploughscars. In the south-western corner of the stripped area a portion of a large curvilinear feature was exposed and recorded. The exposed length measured 28m and 1.6m in width. Without excavation the only reasonable interpretation of this feature is that it is a portion of the large prehistoric ditch located by aerial photographs. This feature was recorded in plan and is to be reinstated as agricultural land as soon as possible. No further on site archaeological work is recommended within the development area.
