Abstract: |
A 7 % archaeolgical evaluation was completed by AOC Archaeology Group on behalf of thier client, Persimmon Homes, in advance of a residential devloppment at Easter Langlee, Galashiels. A possible prehistoric enclosure (NMRS No. NT53NW 57), identified on Aerial Photographs was the only known archaeological monument identified within the proposed development. The enclosure was identifed during the evaluation and comprised an approximate 3-4 m wide by 1.20 m deep ditch. Three unknown pits identified durng the works were fully excavated and sampled. No other significant archaeolgical features nor artefacts were identified. |
