Abstract:		 A programme of archaeological survey works was commissioned by Buccleuch Woodlands in respect of three proposed woodland planting schemes around Langholm, Dumfries and Galloway. The archaeological survey works were designed to determine the nature, form and extent of the known archaeology and propose areas to be preserved as open ground in future planting schemes.
