Abstract: |
Watching briefs were maintained during crossings of an 18th-century military road in Glen Ogle during the installation of an underground 11kv power line. Two crossings and the excavation alongside a stretch of the military road were checked. Nothing of archaeological significance was exposed in any of the trenches. One crossing was cut using a cable plough where it was impossible to view the excavation; the second cut across the military road where it had already been eroded by the action of a fast-flowing mountain stream. |
