Abstract:		 The archaeological evaluation at the Coliseum Building, York Road, Whitley Bay has yielded significant results. Of five trenches excavated, Trench 1 recorded the presence of post-medieval walls and a culvert and Trench 5 contained a single linear feature dated by 14C to between 1010 AD and 1210 AD.
