Abstract:		 This desk-based assessment was to be undertaken prior to the redevelopment of Moss Yard. Rowcliffe Lane was once the principle street in Penrith used by pack horses before the stagecoach, and cartographic evidence showed the site has been occupied since the later 18th century.
