The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Desk-based and building assessment revealed that the two cottages had been originally built as one-up one-down structures, with the upper room contained within the eaves. At some stage during the nineteenth century the upper walls were raised to provide more head-room on the first floor. Probably at the same time the dividing wall between the two properties was replaced in brick. On the ground floor this has subsequently been replaced by modern brickwork and breeze blocks.
