Abstract: |
South West Archaeology undertook evaluation excavations on land at Crazy Acres, Well Farm, Woodland, Nr Ashburton, Devon prior to the submission of a planning application for the erection of a feed and machinery store. The work was laid out in a Written Scheme of Investigation drawn up in accordance with a brief from DCHES. Four evaluation trenches were dug within the footprint of the proposed agricultural building. No archaeological features were encountered, and only two sherds of post-medieval pottery were found in the topsoil. No further works were undertaken. |
