The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 An archaeological Desk Based Assessment and Evaluation was undertaken by AOC Archaeology group at the site of a proposed residential development at 83 Catherine Street Whitehaven. The site is located in a part of Whitehaven that developed from the mid 18th century and the Cumbria Extensive Urban Survey designates the area as of high archaeological importance. Two trenches, totalling 25 m sq were excavated. The evaluation identified garden soils and structural features associated with gardens that existed in the site in the late 18th and early-to-mid 19th century.
