Abstract: |
A monitored topsoil strip was undertaken at Lochardil Burn, Inverness in advance groundworks associated with the construction of a flow control and infiltration basin. The site is located on the southern outskirts of Inverness, within the Inverness and Bona parish, on the south edge of the Southern Distributor Road. Headland Archaeology was commissioned by Tulloch Homes Ltd to conduct the work. Sixteen features were identified in the development area. These were truncated pits, likely to be prehistoric in date. No obvious paterns or structures were identified. |
