Abstract: |
Archaeological works were undertaken to survey a Grade II listed building prior to major alterations involving an extension and removal of a stair case at Mill Hall, Pulham Market. Works included the recording of a 19th century agricultural building sited within the grounds of the Hall which was also due to be renovated. Conclusions drawn from the survey were that the Hall was constructed of four main phases, the first being a three storey timber framed building set on a brick plinth and tentatively dated to the early 17th century. The agricultural building was significantly altered in recent years re-using the original bricks. |
