Abstract:		 South West Archaeology Ltd. monitored the groundworks associated with the construction of an extension to Cranmer Cottage, Exeter Hill, and Tiverton. The site is adjacent to Cranmer Castle, an Iron Age enclosure and Scheduled Ancient Monument (ref: 34256). The foundations of the proposed extension were excavated under strict archaeological supervision. The only features to be observed were the cut and fills of modern electricity or telephone cabling.
