Abstract: |
First stage of a watching brief during the excavation of several drainage trenches within the college car park at Furness College, Barrow-in-Furness. Three brick-built walls were recorded beneath a layer of rubble backfill and modern made-ground deposits to a depth of c2.5m. The walls could not be dated but probably related to the former Barrow Iron and Steel Works built in the mid-19th century. |
