Abstract: |
Evidence of 19th century agricultural activity comprising of two wheat-stacking platforms and the foundations of a probable 19th century barn, which was present at the time of the first edition Ordnance Survey in 1864, was recorded during the watching brief maintained on all groundworks for a residential development within the medieval village. While no evidence of any medieval or earlier occupation was discovered at Pear Tree Farm, 14th-15th century pottery was seen (but not retained) in the topsoil. |
