Abstract:		 Archaeology South East were commissioned by Peter Gardner and Holleran Mouchel Parkman to maintain a watching brief on approximately ten metres of trenching at the junction of Broad Road and Oldfield Road in Eastbourne. 600mm of truncated head deposits overlay gault clay, observed to a maximum depth of 2.5 metre below ground level. No archaeological features or artefacts were identified.
