Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in July 2010 on land at Lower Foxhangers Farm, Poulshot and Rowde. Ten trenches were excavated. The evaluation identified a number of archaeological features within the site. One undated ditch, two undated gullies, and two possible clay extraction pits were revealed. A ditch containing timber, stone and 18th/19th-century pottery may relate to the location of the original Foxhangers Wharf or construction of the canal. |
