Abstract:		 The Severn Estuary Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (RCZAS) is funded by English Heritage and undertaken by the Archaeology Service of Gloucestershire County Council, on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council, South Gloucestershire Council, North Somerset Council, Somerset County Council, Exmoor National Park and Bristol City Council. The Phase 1 project involved a desk-based assessment (Mullin 2008), but also included an aerial archaeological survey to National Mapping Programme (NMP) standards.
