Abstract: |
A programme of archaeological desk-based assessment and walkover survey work was carried out in respect of a proposed development site at Barrance Farm, Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire. No known archaeological sites were identified within the proposed development area. Cartographic evidence points to the potential of medieval origins for the surrounding place names of Barrance and King Henry's Knowe although it is uncertain what type of site these earlier origins represent. |
