Abstract:		 University of Leicester Archaeological Services carried out an archaeological evaluation by trial trenching for Westleigh Homes on land at Spring Farm, Main Street, Fleckney, Leicestershire ( SP 649 935 ).The work was undertaken as part of an archaeological impact assessment in advance of residential development. The evaluation confirmed the absence of significant archaeological deposits within the area examined and was therefore negative. The archive is to be deposited with Leicestershire County Council, Sites and Monuments Record, under Accession number X.A96.2008
