Abstract: |
Archaeological observation of groundworks for alterations to a late 19th-century stable was undertaken at Claybrooke Mill, Frolesworth Lane, Claybrooke Magna. No significant archaeological deposits or artefacts were recorded, although the work lies within the known medieval Claybrooke Mill. A photographic record was made of the stables building, some of whose elements appeared to be remnants of an earlier building. Any early archaeological remains in the area of the new building may have been removed during previous ground reduction. |
