Abstract: |
A standing building appraisal was carried out at Smeaton Barn, Preston Mains Farm, near East Linton, East Lothian. The survey was carried out to inform the East Lothian Council's Archaeologist on the architetural and historical importance prior to its conversion to a modern dwelling. The barn is a cattle house with pitched tiled roof suppored on stone-built piers and is better described as a shelter shed for livestock. |
