Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology in November 2009 at the site of the proposed Kingshill South Footbridge, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Three test pits were excavated. Natural gravels and clays and alluvial deposits were identified and were overlain by subsoil and topsoil. No archaeological features were identified. Iron Age and Roman pottery sherds were recovered from the surface of the natural substrate in test pit 2. |
