The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 A programme of archaeological works was required by Stay Home Construction Ltd in respect to proposed residential development on land at Mauldslie Castle Nurseries, Carluke (NS 8084 5004). The archaeological works were designed to mitigate the impact on the archaeological remains within the development area. The monitoring of Site Investigation works informed the development of an evaluation works that investigated an 8% sample of the proposed development area. All of the trenches excavated reached archaeologically sterile natural soil and all potential archaeological features were examined. No significant archaeological remains were located within the development area and no anthropic material was recovered other then would suggest activities due to the modern use of the site as a walled garden.
